T in the park

I absolutely love festivals, they’re amazing and have this energy and vibe about them that is just so uplifting and positive. Last weekend was the fab T in the Park festival up in Scotland featuring acts such as Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris, Arctic Monkeys, Alesso, Jake Bugg, Ed Sheeran, Bastille, Clean bandit, Ella Eyre, Bombay Bicycle Club, Tinie Tempah, Disclosure, Duke Dumont, Paolo Nutini, Pharrell, Rudimental, Ben Howard, Elbow, The 1975… aka. an epic line up. I worked at T in 2013 and in 2014 with a company called Festaff. The idea behind festaff is that you work 16hours split into 2 shifts on the Thursday and Friday of the festival then you get the rest of the festival for free meaning you only have to pay for your travel expenses. It’s a really fab way of making sure that you get to go to several festivals without spending a small fortune (most festivals are costing over ยฃ200 now a days)

The thing I love about T in the Park is that it’s a massive festival without being suffocating. I never feel claustrophobic at the fest or like I can never get fresh air because it’s far too crowded. T in the Park also has so many great things to do that you’ll never be bored. There are endless amounts of acts on so many different stages and tents but not only that there are loads of carnival rides and stalls. Also there is a section of T called “Healthy T” where you’ll find loads of great little food trucks and massage tents, yoga/Tai Chi classes if you fancy a chill. T also has a charity walk and a sunset strip which features several great charity stalls and shopping stalls.

I was maybe a little bit drunk, but so was everyone else!

Our giant Yorkshire Pud- ironically we bought this in the Healthy T section

All in all I had an amazing time at T in the Park and i’m definitely going to be going again next year if I’m around! My favourite band was definitely the Arctic Monkeys and I’m now so in love with Alex Turner!
