Having Christmas Abroad: Stowe, Vermont

I’ve been having Christmas abroad for the past four/five years I think now and I honestly absolutely love it. One of my friends told me she felt sorry for me that I wasn’t spending Christmas home this year and all I could do was laugh. I get to open my presents early before we fly out on the 23rd, I get little presents when I’m abroad on the 25th, I spend time with my family, I get to explore a new place, meet new people and I still get a Christmas dinner! When given the option of travelling or staying at home I always choose to travel. This Christmas I’ve been spending time in Boston, MA and Stowe, VT. Boston is such a gorgeous city with amazing sights, shopping, sports, restaurants and people! I still have another three days in the city before I fly back home and I cannot wait to head back to explore more of what Boston has to offer. I’m currently in Stowe which is a small town based in Vermont. Stowe is surrounded by stunning mountain terrain (it looks like Twilight could have ben filmed here). Stowe also has several skiable mountain terrains which is what I’ve been spending my time doing (I’m currently in the process of trying out some of my own demo ski gear to buy my own stuff which is super expensive but well worth it!).

How have you been spending your christmas? Any recommendations of things to do in Boston, MA?
