Amazing Beauty Products from Soap & Glory, Bourjois & Too Faced Cosmetics
I bought all of this make-up (plus some Benefit Cosmetics products that are not pictured) for just £50. There’s not doubt that I’ve fallen in love again with Drugstore make-up shopping since moving back to the UK. Target is amazing for drugstore makeup but there is now nothing at Target that I cannot get at home. This is because there is a huge NYX store at my Manchester Boots even bigger than the selection at my local Target in L.A. Plus, there is something magical about the British make-up brand Soap & Glory that I really missed while I was in the USA. Sure they have some S&G but not it ALL and I need it all!
Firstly, I just want to confess and then I want to gush. 1) I have never bought any make-up from Soap & Glory before until this drugstore haul. 2) Soap & Glory makeup is amazing and I cannot believe that I have been missing out all this time. I regret everything and I need to make up for lost time. Let’s get into it!
The Wonderbronze Highlight & Sculpt Stick is the most exciting product I bought. When I swatched it I got so excited about it being the perfect combination of both highlight and bronzer. I’m able to contour my face with it and highlight at the same time and it’s not muddy. I was so impressed with this product that I’m now saving my pennies for the other sculpting sticks. I’m loving the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer too (basically, bronzing products are my go to right now!). The Bourjois product is a drugstore favourite! It smells more like coconut than chocolate but it provides a really subtle bronzing effect that isn’t heavy or muddy.
The Sexy MotherPucker range has been around for a while and I remember trying it years ago. It has since expanded massively and now comes in the ‘normal’ plump and XL plump. I bought the normal plump in the colour ‘PlumpsUp’ and the XL in ‘Clear’. You can really feel the gloss begin to work when you apply it. It is not painful, just a little bit of a tingly sensation. The results are not BAM in your face, post-cosmetic surgery, Kylie Jenner challenge worthy. But when you run your lips over one another you can definitely feel a difference in how plump they are which I really like. The only downside is that they are slightly on the sticky side so I would really love Soap & Glory to launch a formula with less of a sticky honey feel.
Archery is really popular amongst bloggers but I hadn’t read into it too much before now. One end of the wand is a felt tip pen and you brush the liquid over your brows to give it a filled in effect. The result is very natural. You can then use the Brow Pencil to fill in your brows if you need it. It’s a great product and produces a similar effect to my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz but for a much smaller price tag.
Finally, onto Too Faced’s Born This Way Foundation. I bought this at Debenhams because it’s one of the only places you can buy Too Faced products in the UK. It claims to be a Medium to Full coverage but I would honestly describe it as a light coverage that is very buildable. It feels light which I think has a lot to do with the fact that it has coconut water in it. If you are searching for a foundation with buildable coverage that isn’t heavy I highly recommend this one. Or if you want one that is just light coverage Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is perfect.
What do you guys think of this drugstore haul? Are you keen to try out any of these products?
