My staple favourites from Sephora
Hello everyone! My mom and dad graciously picked up the three staple items in my make-up bag that I can’t live without whilst they were on vacation in Florida. Here’s why you’ll love them too..!
The Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation is a perfect solution for people who love lightweight coverage that actually does cover. I used to be so skeptical of anything that wasn’t “full coverage” but I’ve learned that lightweight coverage feels so much better on my skin and lasts longer too. Plus, lightweight coverage doesn’t mean that everything you dislike about your skin is on show. The UD Naked Foundation is lightweight and really long lasting. I can get through a full day at Uni and Cheer practise and its still there. It does cover blemishes pretty well and in combination with the concealer it makes your skin look flawless. I’m in the shade 3.5 which is probably around an NW20-22.
Nothing creates a flawless finish like the UD Naked Foundation and its counterpart UD Naked Concealer combined. The concealer is, again, lightweight and a liquid formula that comes with a doe foot applicator. It glides on really easily and blends very well. When set with the right powder it won’t crease or budge. My skin is the shade ‘Fair’ which covers the bags under my eyes and any blemishes. I also take the concealer up to my cheekbones to provide a good, light base for my highlighter. I chose a concealer a couple of shades lighter than my skin tone because it brightens and conceals better if you do.
I constantly see debate over which Liquid Lipstick is the best. The blogging community have officially come to the consensus that Kylie Lip Kits aren’t worth their price – an indisputable fact in my eyes. The favourites are definitely Kat Von D and ABH’s formula. I’m also impartial to Jeffree Star’s liquid lip. I only owned one KvD liquid lip, Lolita, up until today! My mom picked my up the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Requiem’ which I’ve been wanting for about a year but whenever I went into Sephora whether in L.A, Vegas or Paris it was always sold out! The colour is described as a ‘Soft Lilac’ but there are strong pink and taupe undertones so don’t be put off by the word ‘lilac’ it isn’t too purple-y at all. It’s absolutely stunning!
I’m so glad that I got to talk about these three products in one post because they honestly are my favourites. I’ll be returning to these time and time again because they are worth the money and just so beautiful! Do you have some favourites like these that you’ll always go back to? Can you recommend any other Kat Von D liquid lipstick shades for me?
