Hello lovely readers! The previous Sunday my friend Yasmin and I enjoyed a brunch at Duck and Waffle in London. We also love to shoot photos when we are together so we headed to somewhere we had never been before, Leadenhall Market!
So this look was totally inspired by the gorgeous Zendaya. She paired a chunky sweater dress with some heels when she was out shopping one day and she looked amazing! I saw this dress in Topshop the other week from the brand Absence of Colour and it was totally perfect! I also had jeans on during the day and knee high boots which kept me warm in London! My shoes are from River Island but they are a bit too big for me so I think I’ll be selling them on Depop soon (@abigailalicex).
I found Leadenhall Market when I was looking for places to go near Duck and Waffle where Yasmin and I had breakfast. I’ve lived in London for a total of three years now but because of University I’ve only really just started to explore the non-touristy areas. Leadenhall was so quiet on a Sunday morning. The market is full of stores and restaurants but because we went so early we couldn’t have a look round. I can imagine this place is so, so busy on Saturday afternoon with shoppers and foodies. It actually really reminds me of Covent Garden. Anyway, I had a fab day out with Yasmin and can’t wait to explore more of London.
I did get a couple of tourist groups looking at me like I was insane for having my legs bare. However, us northern girls just don’t feel the cold as much. You can take the girl out of the North…! I love the chunky knit as a dress look and I think I’ll be wearing it a lot when it gets slightly warmer. The combo of something so casual as a knit sweater with a gorgeous pair of heels is a cute mix. I definitely want to start wearing more heels but I do feel self-conscious about my height because I’m 5″10. However, fuck it. I love having long legs so it’s about time I embraced them and took advantage of them! It’s also a surprisingly warm outfit– I’d love to know if you’d wear a sweater dress and heels.
