A look into a unique Wood Watch
I actually traded a Rolex for this watch… kind of. My dad lost my Rolex after I gave it to him to take care of for the night and this is the only watch I’ve worn since!
Hey everyone! I hope your first week of 2017 went swimmingly. I want to introduce you to JORD watches today as I personally think they look fantastic. When JORD reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try one of their watches it didn’t take a long search on their website for me to reply to the email saying yes! I first saw a wood watch in a store in Orlando a few years ago and thought they looked smart and super unique so I am very pleased I now own one!
The watch came in a really beautiful wooden box that I kept purely because it looks cute on my mantlepiece. JORD also provided me with a small pen brush that contains a preservative formula for the wood. JORD clearly does care that you get the most out of your watch which I really appreciate as brands can tend not to care nowadays.
Onto the actual watch now… The face of the watch is a lighter finish wood which makes telling the time easier. The numbers and watch hand are silver and the numbers feature a small white strip in the middle which is a nice detail. It’s really comfy to wear and not at all chunky. It’s also very lightweight. As you can imagine wood is a lot less heavy than metal. But sometimes the fabric strap of certain watches can make them super lightweight.
I receive a lot of compliments every time I wear the watch. I think people aren’t so used to seeing watches made from wood. However, I do predict that they will come into fashion as the Daniel Wellington ones were all the rage with bloggers a couple of years ago! I think 2017 is the year of the wood watch.
Comment challenge: Do you wear a watch? If so, where from?
What do you guys think of the JORD wood watch? let me know if mine tickles your fancy!
