Hey guys! A few weeks ago you may have seen a post on my new Vegan skincare editions (here), it featured a brand called Benecos which I have been kindly sent to try. I loved them so much that i jumped at the chance to sample more skincare and even some make-up from them. They’re a cruelty free brand and a lot of their products are Vegan…
I’m just going to jump right in and talk about the make-up bits first! I was send the Natural Quattro Eyeshadow Palette in the shade ‘Coffee & Cream’*. It’s a lovely little square palette featuring four very wearable shades. Last week when I posed on the Modern Renaissance palette a lot of bloggers said they doubted that they would use a lot of the colours because they were so bright. If you’re a play it safe kind of gal where eye shadow is concerned and prefer really natural tones then this one is for you! I’m not a play it safe gal where my eyes are concerned. But, this palette gets some gorgeous use for transition shades and under the brow highlight.
I also received the Benecos bronzer and blusher duo* which is such a cute little combination. I definitely needed a new bronzer because come this time around my tan from my winter holiday has definitely faded. As you can see from the swatches the colours are super natural too which is great because I hate having too strong of a bronzer or blusher. The two shades work really great with my skin tone and give it a healthy glow.
Onto skin care! I’ve tried a few Benecos skincare products before including their milk cleanser which really exceeded my expectations. The Benecos Apricot Body Scrub* really reminded me of the St. Ives scrub I used to use years ago on my face and body. This one is more of a gel like formula and you can use it in the shower to scrub away your dead skin cells which had been super useful for me recently as I’ve had a lot of Cheerleading competitions that I had to fake tan for! The scrub smells so nice and fresh. The exfoliates in it aren’t harsh either so don’t worry it won’t scrub away your skin as harshly as a coffee scrub but you’ll definitely see a difference.
I don’t why but I am obsessed with lip balm at the moment. Whenever I see it on my dresser I have to grab it and apply some even if I applied some about an hour ago. I can see this Benecos Orange and Shea Butter balm* out of the corner of my eye and I know as soon as I’m done with this sentence I’m going to grab it. There… moisturised lips. This balm smells lovely and surprisingly enough considering my new found obsession I actually don’t own another orange lip balm. It hydrates your lips without feeling too heavy and is good enough to eat, what more could you ask for?
I think Benecos definitely deserve more recognition. The fact that they are cruelty free and provide great products is something that not all mainstream brands are doing. I hope to try more stuff from them soon! Especially their make-up as this little taster of their stuff has got me hungry for more.
Which of these products has caught your eye? Are you keeping an eye on whether brands are cruelty free or not?
