So my Valentine’s Day was really uneventful. Last weekend I went home after Cheer practise because I had the following week off of University so I could spend some time in Manchester with my family. It was a nice and relaxing few days. I also got to catch up with my nana which was great because I havent been able to see her too much after my grandad’s passing because of University.
I took some self-portrait photos in this kind of slo-mo style during Reading Week. I’m really loving playing with different types of photography. I was feeling really inspired by all the lovey dovey Valentine’s post and even though I am single I wanted to be involved– haha.
If you have not entered my BH Cosmetics giveaway yet you can do so here! The Wild Child palette has such a cute array of different shades.
I’ve been meaning to take more outfit photos for my Instagram for ages. I absolutely love clothes and styling myself and my friends so I wanted to feature it more prominently on my social media. You can follow me on instagram (@abigailalicex) where you can see a lot of my outfits! I also tag where I got everything from so if there is something you like you’ll be able to find it online <3
On Sunday my Cheerleading team, the RHUL Bears, competed in Birmingham which meant that we had to wake up at 4.30am so we could make out coach and get there in time for our slot. I felt like we didn’t even perform our best routine but we ended up coming 1st place out of 17 teams! The division we were in was absolutely huge, to have 17 teams competing against each other is massive for cheer and we never expected to win. But, not only did we win our division (Level 2, small, All Girl) we also won Grand Champions. This basically means that we won Level 2 all around, so out of the large and co-ed teams we still scored the highest. This meant that we beat 47 teams to win grand champs which is insane!
I’m still so proud of all of the effort my team has put in this year. This was the last time I would ever compete in a University competition with Royal Holloway so to not only win but to win grand champs as well was the most amazing way to finish my time with Royal Holloway Cheer. I never would have thought that a taster session in Cheer four years ago would have made me love a sport so much. I’m definitely not ready to give up cheer completely yet as competitions are just so much fun.
How did last week treat you guys? Have any of you tried Cheerleading? What are you thinking about my IG outfit posts? let me know in the comments!
