When Netflix, Samsung and Three get together you know whatever they’re offering has got to be good. Welcome to the Bed ‘n’ Binge retreat. The opposite of outdoorsy, this retreat encourages you to stay inside and binge on as much Netflix as you could possibly want. All in the comfort of your own Netflix inspired cabin. With fifteen cabins to choose from you’re bound to be sleeping and living inside a TV show you adore. My boyfriend Jay and I decided to stay in the Pretty Little Liars cabin. Well, I decided too (the Riverdale one was taken)…
“Absolutely everything was free, from water, to our dinner, to cookies, to a yoga class, to Netflix show inspired cocktails. The Demagorgon was my favourite.”
The Bed ‘n’ Binge Retreat took place in Osterley park, not too far from Wimbledon. And guess what? The entire thing was completely free, all you had to do was enter your details for tickets on Biletto. We arrived at the retreat and it gave me very, very big festival vibes. The 15 cabins were all encircled around a huge tent which contained a bar and some Friends-couch lookalike couches to lounge at watch Netflix on. The cabins were all Netflix themed, shows such as Narcos, The OA, House of Cards, Riverdale and Orange is the New Black had their own cabins.
Upon our arrival, Jay and I were both given a Samsung tablet and Galaxy S8+ to use for our retreat and some amazing headphones. We had unlimited access to Netflix thanks to Netflix and Three’s new collaboration which means streaming Netflix on your Three phone will no longer cost you data. We were initially booked in for a day visit. You could come for a couple of hours and enjoy the surroundings and the gadgets. But a few couples didn’t turn up for their bookings which meant that we snatched up a cabin. Each cabin sleeps two people and had a fully functioning bathroom, so we didn’t have to go without a shower either. Absolutely everything was free, from water, to our dinner, to cookies, to a yoga class, to Netflix show inspired cocktails. The demagorgon was my favourite.
The grounds had a couple of food and drink tuk-tuk’s, as well as the Samsung lounge where you could hang out. But the weather was absolutely amazing so me and Jay popped out phones or our tablet on the outdoor docking station, got set up on a blanket and binged our shows outside. Around 7pm we were called up to a short Yoga session outside with everyone else who was enjoying the retreat and the session was so relaxing! We had our dinner and cocktails around 8pm and after that headed into our PLL cabin to enjoy some Netflix. I ended up watching a little bit of Glow which I highly recommend and some PLL episodes. I couldn’t stay in a PLL cabin and not watch A mess things up!
The moment I spotted my food
It was such an amazing and unique experience. We were very surprised that half the cabins were empty because of no-shows as we know so many people who would have loved that experience. We reckon because the tickets were free people didn’t feel guilty about missing it. I truly, truly hope Samsung, Netflix & Three come together to do this again. I would definitely pay for tickets as well as it was so worth it.
One of the best things about the whole experience was dressing up as A and feeling like I was in Pretty Little Liars. BUT, testing out the Samsung gadgets and having experts to show us some details about them was so useful. Jay and I are both iPhone users but after the experience we’re very keen to switch to Samsung. We were both incredibly impressed with the Samsung phones and the quality of the camera is just unparalleled. All the photos on this blog post were taken with the Galaxy S8+. I thought the quality was just as good, if not better than, my DSLR.
Which cabin would you have chosen to stay in for the night? Do you think that Netflix, Samsung and Three should bring this back next summer? Let me know your thoughts on the retreat down below!
