“A three day trip in Berlin for less than £30 per day!”
Hello lovely readers! I don’t know why I haven’t been able to get this post up sooner but at the beginning of June I managed to get away for three days to the city of Berlin with my then Tinder find, now boyfriend, Jay!
I paid £90 for both of us including flights and hotel to visit a place we had never been to before. In fact, it was Jay’s first vacation. You can’t really beat that, can you? I found the deal on HolidayPirates and instantly snatched it up.
I’ve never been to Germany before so it was great for me to visit a major city in a country I hadn’t ticked off my list. I searched for various blog posts on Berlin and stacked up a huge list of things to do. It’s fair to say that we got a good three quarters of it ticked off our list. However, we will have to come back to do our favourites and the remainder over again. My favourite sight was definitely the Berlin Cathedral. I’d like to take a little look at the views from the top of it next time I visit. The Universities were also beautiful! Such amazing architecture.
I wasn’t expecting much in terms of the food in Berlin. The only thing I know about German food is that sausages feature prominently in it and as a Vegetarian I didn’t have high hopes. But I was so, so surprised at how good the food was in the city. Jay is also a Vegetarian so we searched on TripAdvisor the best places to eat for us and we weren’t disappointed. I highly recommend Vaust in Berlin, it’s a family owned Vegan restaurant and the food was out of this world. La Cantina Italian restaurant was also incredible, definitely some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten in my life!
