“But I do find something super special in the crisp weather of Autumn and dare I say it… snow? Wrapping up warm is one of my favourite things about Autumn.”
Call me silly but I never thought about shopping the summer sales for Autumn and Winter finds. But as Starbucks releases their iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL to experts) white girls in Uggs queue out the doors for a taste of its sweet spice and Autumn is officially here. So it’s about time we thought about Autumn and Winter dressing, right? Ugh? Great?
It’s no secret that I love hot weather and being abroad. But I do find something super special in the crisp weather of Autumn and dare I say it… snow? Wrapping up warm is one of my favourite things about Autumn and I always head to Primark to stock up on layering accessories to wear over my more ‘summer-y’ Autumnal choices. In order to save money (because I’m all about saving money as a student living with crippling London rent) I browsed a special sales website Love the Sales to find some of the best Summer sale picks that will fit well into your A/W wardrobe.
I adore a good jumpsuit. As a tall lady they do look flattering on the figure and somehow fit in all the right places. I’ve been thinking about stocking up on my more ‘professional’ looking wardrobe. If that even exists! I’m currently looking for an internship so I figured it would be helpful to have some pieces that I could wear around an office. Black jumpsuits are my go to. They’re easy because they’re an all in one and can be easily accessorised.
LuLu Guinness may be a staple in your wardrobe. I had heard of her but hadn’t paid close attention to her designs. But after spotting this gorgeous black handbag with the lips she is well and truly on my radar. And for £200, who could argue?
I’m a big fan of dresses and sadly that doesn’t stop me braving them when the freezing cold weather rolls around. I like res, oranges and blacks for Autumn. Basically anything that reflects the autumnal leaves. I particularly like the Missguided one with cut out shoulders and lace sleeves. It would look really cute on a date, paired with some tights, the LuLu Guinness bag and a thick scarf and coat.
What do you guys think about shopping the Summer Sales for A/W looks? Do you think Love the Sales has got the right idea? Or do you prefer to pay full price? Let me know in the comments.
