Happy Easter! – My Thoughts on Honey Birdette’s ‘Abbie’
Happy Easter my loves!
Yes, yes I know Easter Sunday was yesterday. But still, I’m in the Easter Bunny spirit, obviously.
In keeping with my last post on the Lazeme Freya Fancies set and confession that I absolutely love lingerie blogging even though there may be a little stigma around it as there is when a woman does anything that could be considered remotely sexual. I’m embracing this new found love of mine.
Way back in the January sales I decided to give Honey Birdette a go. I didn’t head to Westfield with lingerie specifically on my mind, but aside from a pair of trackpants it’s all I ended up leaving all the stores with. I had never visited Honey Birdette before, but I’m glad I paid it a visit. The store is absolutely gorgeous, so if you’re near White City/Shepherd’s Bush Westfield I’d highly recommend paying it a visit.
The price tags are definitely more along the lines of Agent Provocateur than Ann Summers, but the difference is all in the store experience and quality of the lingerie. I only realised I’d picked up the ‘Abbie’ set when I checked the labels at home , safe to say it put a little smile on my face. It was meant for me!
I love the colours of the flower detailing on the bra and bottoms. I’d say that the bottoms do run slightly small, so if you’re inbetween sizes then try them before you buy as you may have to go up a size. The bra is super comfortable and I can definitely wear it on a more day to day basis rather than saving it for something a little more ‘special’. The thong that matches the rest of the set isn’t something that I can wear everyday. Although the silk on the straps is super soft and comfy, it just isn’t something feasible for everyday wear. But, I still wouldn’t change purchasing it!
I paid just £40-ish for this set. I was really impressed with their January discount. I’m keeping my eyes open on their emails for their sale newsletters as I’ll be buying some more lingerie from them soon.
Have you made a purchase from Honey Birdette before? What are your thoughts on the brand?
