It seems like absolutely ages ago that I was in Fuerteventura and even longer since I did a blog post on here. But I’m here, in full throttle mode trying to get together the next issue of The Bare Minimum magazine, complete my Masters and turn up to work on time on the days I don’t have class.
Fuerteventura is a place I’ve been on vacation quite a few times, it’s been one of my family’s go-to’s since I was younger and it was the first place I ever went on vacation when I was a baby. This time I went with Jay and it was great to introduce him to somewhere I know so well. If you’re looking for a chilled out beach holiday, with a few shopping options and enough chilled nightlife to keep you occupied for the week then Corralejo is the place for you.
As far as beach wear goes I have a whole wardrobe full of it and drawers of bikini’s. I put this down to my time in Los Angeles. But Miss Tunica kindly reached out so I could give one of their beach tunics a go. I chose the slip dress and tunic in Crystal White. The only other tunic’s I’ve owned have been cheap Primark throw overs and you can absolutely tell the difference. I think there’s a culture in beach wear fashion where women don’t necessarily invest in beachwear, because they’re only going to wear it for 2-4 weeks in a year. Yet, investing in key holiday pieces will mean they last you for years, and you won’t be contributing so much clothing waste.
I really love the beading on the top of the tunic and the slip dress underneath is a great addition so you can go from the beach to lunch/dinner without needing to pack another outfit.
Where are you guys heading on vacation this summer? Let me know you recommendations!
