It’s no secret that I absolutely love having framed prints in my space. I’ve done a few blog posts on the prints scattered around mine and Jay’s previous apartment before and I’m happy to say our new apartment is no different.
I have this lovely new addition New York print from I am Fy! New York has always been one of my favourite places to visit for a vacation — although my time spent there has been so hectic and jam-packed I don’t know if I can quite call it a ‘vacation’. From visiting with family, to debating at the UN when I was 19 NYC has always been one of those places that’s held a bit of magic for me. That, coupled with a mild obsession with Gossip Girl (that isn’t really mild at all).
The print is absolutely lovely and very good quality– no poor paper or blurry imagery here. I also adore the frame, a thin black number that looks excellent on our grey walls. We’ve opted for black frames with all of our prints (and some of our home decor — you can just see the black string on one of our Etsy shelves!) coupled with the warm wood the cold grey is a lot more homely.
My family and I recently booked to visit NYC in May. We’re taking our nana and Jay for the first time and I really can’t wait. It feels like our home needed a bit of NYC glamour that’s been missing with some art! I’ve hung the piece in our bedroom which is slowly coming together, especially since we received our new headboard from Wayfair just yesterday.
I’d love to do a bit of an apartment tour blog post once we’re completely organised and tidy. And, of course, a tour of all the prints and wall art we have in our space!
